Upcoming for Saints Women's Volleyball: Three Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference games are set for this week. As Siena Heights faces the Rochester Warriors, the Lawrence Tech Blue Devils, and the Concordia (MI) Cardinals. Starting off the week traveling North to Rochester SHU will end the week at home with games both Friday and Saturday in the Fieldhouse.
Head Coach: Kim Berrington enters her eighth season as the head coach of the Siena Heights women's volleyball team. Berrington earned a career milestone last season when she cracked 600 wins after the win over Adrian College. Berrington's 122-81 record at Siena Heights makes her the winningest coach in program history.
At Home: The Saints are 5-2 at home this season, recently defeating the Madonna Crusaders for the first time since 2013 in a huge 3-0 sweep.
On the Road: The Saints are 1-1 on the road this season. Falling only to #23 Cornerstone University this past week in grand rapids, Michigan.
Series History:
Rochester – The Saints currently lead the matchup with a 10-0 record over the Warriors. Boasting two wins from last season.
Lawrence Tech – The matchup stands at 10-9, in favor of Siena. The last time to two teams faced off was November of 2021 when SHU lost in the Don Ridler Field House in Southfield, Michigan.
Concordia (MI) – The Siena Heights Saints have defeated the Cardinals in every matchup, leaving the score at 18-0 since 2013.
Last Week Recap:
SHU 3, Madonna 0 – For the first time in nine years the Siena Heights Saints defeated the Madonna Crusaders. Sweeping the visiting team at home in the SHU Fieldhouse.
SHU 1, #23 Cornerstone 3 – Traveling North for the weekend, SHU first played the #23 ranked team in the NAIA. Siena took set one but was unable to o=overpower the Golden Eagles.
SHU 3, Aquinas 0 – Finishing up the week SHU battled Aquinas College earning a 3-0 victory.
