TOLEDO, Ohio -- Lauren Cojei led the Siena Heights women's golf team to a first place finish as she was the individual champion of the Lourdes Spring Invitational, on Wednesday. SHU swept the top three spots of the event.
Cojei managed a season best score, finishing only six over par with a 77. On her heels in second place with a 78 was Dakota Spears while Madison Reed rounded out the top three with an 82. Carding an 88 to tie for sixth was Carley Hall as Emily Witasek was the fifth scoring Saint with a 103.
As a team, Siena Heights carded a 325 in the one round event, defeating second place Cleary by 46 strokes as they ended with a 371. WHAC teams took the remaining four spots in the following order: Madonna (399), Lourdes (409), Cornerstone (419) and Rochester (442).
Siena Heights will return to action on Friday and Saturday at the Shootout at Stonehedge in Augusta, Mich.
