ADRIAN, Mich. -- Tight end Donovan Campbell had six catches for 102 yards and two touchdowns while running back Calebb Goings finished with 29 carries for 196 yards and one score as the Siena Heights football team defeated Taylor (Ind.), 28-14, in Mid-States Football Association Mideast League action on Saturday at O'Laughlin Stadium.
Running back/wide receiver Raphael Dunson added three carries for 54 yards while the SHU quarterback duo of Travis Zajkowski (Morley, Mich./Morley-Stanwood) and Matt King combined for 189 yards passing and two touchdowns. Zajkowski was 7 of 9 for 101 yards while King was 4 of 10 for 84 yards and one interception.
Campbell caught touchdown passes from both quarterbacks -- the first coming from King on the Saints' first-drive of the game. The 12-yard hookup helped SHU to a 7-0 lead.
The Trojans (2-3, 0-1) tied the game at 7-7 on a 56-yard pass from quarterback Jonathan Keith to wide receiver Darvon Blackmon, but the knot was short-lived as Siena Heights defensive back Tracy Mayes returned the ensuing kickoff 99 yards for a Saint touchdown.
SHU (3-2, 2-1) increased its lead to 21-7 on a three-yard pass from Zajkowski to Campbell before halftime.
In the fourth quarter, Goings scored on a 55-yard touchdown run to put the Saints up 28-7 with 1:54 left in the contest.
Taylor answered with the game's final points on a two-yard touchdown pass from Keith to Blackmon.
Keith finished 19 of 34 for 247 yards and two touchdowns while Blackmon made seven catches for 156 yards and his two scores.
For the SHU defense, linebacker Tyler Karcher had 4 1/2 tackles, one sack, one forced fumble and two fumble recoveries. Defensive lineman Kyle Connors added a sack while linebacker Derek J. Head and defensive lineman Collin Teff combined on a sack.
Also, defensive back Sederick Dunbar forced a fumble while fellow defensive back Fred Butlermade an interception.
For Taylor's defense, linebacker Isaac McGaughey and defensive lineman Joe Yanaitis and Cody Schwerin had sacks while defensive back Brett Currens had an interception.
The Saints will be in action next on Homecoming Weekend when they host Olivet Nazarene (Ill.) for a 1 p.m. start.
