FOREST CITY, Iowa -- Quarterback Matt King threw for two touchdowns and running backCalebb Goings ran for a pair as the Siena Heights football team closed out its season with a 31-21 non-conference victory over Waldorf on Saturday.
King finished 20 of 30 for 206 yards while Goings compiled 19 rushes for 81 yards as the Saints battled back from a 14-7 deficit with 24 consecutive points.
Waldorf quarterback Bryan Smith gave the hosts their first lead with a 3-yard run in the first quarter. SHU answered with an 11-yard pass from King to tight end Lyle VanFleteren.
In the second quarter, LaShawn Chapman had a 44-yard touchdown reception from Smith, helping the Warriors (4-6) to their final lead at 14-7.
Tight end Donovan Campbell had a 17-yard touchdown grab from King as the Saints pulled even at 14-all with 1:19 left in the first half.
Goings scored his touchdowns with 5:00 left in the third and 12:00 remaining in the fourth, pushing Siena Heights (4-6) to a 28-14 lead.
The Saints finished the contest out with a 12-play, 55-yard drive, and ate up 8:02 of clock time before kicker Jonah Harter converted a 27-yard field goal as SHU went up, 31-14.
Smith had a 2-yard touchdown run with 42 seconds left for the contest's final touchdown.
Defensively, the Saints were led by linebacker Derek J. Head , who had 5 1/2 total tackles. Defensive back Fred Butler and defensive lineman Kyle Connors forced fumbles and defensive lineman Jordan Martin had a recovery.
Running back Drew Milligan was the Saints' second leading rusher, finishing with six runs for 67 yards. Campbell finished with seven catches for 93 yards while VanFleteren and wide receiver Raphael Dunson had five catches apiece for 60 and 40 yards, respectively.
