THE GAME
The Siena Heights football team will play its final regular season game of the 2012 season when it visits Waldorf in Forest City, Iowa.

The Saints are coming off a 31-7 loss to sixth-ranked Saint Francis (Ind.) in which they fell behind, 17-0, in the first quarter. Tight end Donovan Campbell had eight catches for 73 yards while running back/wide receiver Raphael Dunson scored the Saints' lone touchdown and finished with 11 carries for 38 yards and four catches for 40 yards.

Quarterbacks Travis Zajkowski and Matt King split time for the Saints. Zajkowski completed 11 of 19 passes for 116 yards while King went 7 of 8 for 34 yards.

Defensively, the Saints were led by linebacker Lamarr Marshall, who had seven tackles, and Grant Benschoter, who finished with 6 1/2 stops.

Benschoter and defensive end Anthony Patritto had sacks. Patritto also forced a fumble, which was recovered by fellow defensive end Joseph Mravec.

In Waldorf's last game, the Warriors fell to No. 12 Saint Ambrose (Iowa), 48-21. Quarterback Bryan Smith had 16 carries for 47 yards and, throwing the ball, went 25 of 41 for 234 yards and three touchdowns. He also threw four interceptions.

Smith's top target was wide receiver James Lloyd, who hauled in six catches for 98 yards, while fellow wide receivers LaShawn Chapman and Marc Ballatori and fullback Clifton Davenport caught touchdown passes.

For the Warrior defense, end Ken Hortizuela made eight tackles, including 2 1/2 sacks, and forced a fumble. Linebacker DeMarlo Lewis added eight tackles, including three for-loss.

THE COACHES
Jim Lyall (Michigan '74) is in his second season as head coach for Siena Heights, where he now has a 3-6 varsity record. He is 105-97-1 all-time as a collegiate varsity football coach. During SHU's 2011 club season, Lyall went 8-1. He was previously the head coach at Adrian, where he compiled a 102-91-1 varsity slate.

Kent Anderson (Iowa State '85) is in his first season as head coach for Waldorf, where he now has a 4-5 record. He was previously an offensive coordinator for Iowa Wesleyan.

SCOUTING THE WARRIORS
Waldorf has found itself in a number of high-scoring affairs so far in 2012, scoring a 76-35 victory over Trinity Bible (S.D.) and dropping a 66-65 decision to Iowa Wesleyan.

Junior wide receiver James Loyyd will be the key player to watch on the Warrior offense. With 44 receptions for 588 yards and six touchdowns on offense and 18 attempts for 518 yards and three scores on kickoff returners, Loyyd is a definite threat.

In the NAIA rankings, he is listed eighth in kickoff return yards (518), eighth in kickoff return average (28.8), 12th in all-purpose yards (1,213) and 23rd in total receptions (44).

Sophomore quarterback Bryan Smith can both run and pass the ball. In the passing game, he is 77 of 133 for 973 yards, 14 touchdowns and four intereceptions. His 148.1 pass efficiency rating has him ranked 14th in the nation.

Smith may be spelled at times by junior Samuel Fish, who is 73 of 117 for 899 yards, seven touchdowns and six intereceptions.

Sophomore running backs Walter O'Neal and Marshall Williams sit atop the depth chart, but junior Lavelle Maddox has been the Warriors' leading rusher in 2012. Maddox has 70 runs for 267 yards, Williams is 53 for 323 and two touchdowns and O'Neal is 42 for 303 and two scores.

Sophomore wide receiver Marc Ballatori provides another threat outside for Waldorf with his 32 catches for 578 yards and seven touchdowns.

On defense, Waldorf is led by junior safety Kenny Brown, who has accumulated 53 1/2 tackles and two intereceptions. Junior linebacker Rodney Taylor has 47 tackles and sophomore safety Tevin Padgett also has two interceptions.

STOLEN GOODS
The Siena Heights defense has certainly shown the ability to cause turnovers as it has accumulated 19 takeaways. The Saints' leading tackler is sophomore linebacker Tyler Karcher, who has 51 1/2 stops, two interceptions, two fumble recoveries and one forced fumble. Sophomore linebacker Trent Bragg and defensive back Sederick Dunbar II have 50 1/2 tackles apiece.

Sophomore linebacker Chris Vann is also at the 40-tackle mark with 40 1/2 stops while freshman defensive lineman Joseph Mravec is the team leader in quarterback sacks with four. As a unit, the Saints have forced turnovers in all nine games this season.

The SHU defensive unit is 14th in opponents' fourth-down percentage (35.3), 21st in opponents' third-down percentage (30.5) and 25th in total sacks (19).

RUNNING BACK BY COMMITTEE 
The Saints opened the season with sophomore Julius Taylor Jr. as the lead running back, but as recent as two weeks ago, SHU went with another sophomore, Drew Milligan, out of the backfield. Whether the changes have been tactical or out of necessity, Siena Heights has kept the turnstiles moving at the halfback spot.

Taylor and sophomore Travis Damron shared time during the first three contests before Taylor took over main RB duties for game four. In games five and six, sophomore Calebb Goings stepped up before Milligan saw the bulk of carries in game seven and eight. Raphael Dunson, who sees time as both a running back and wide receiver, was the primary ball carrier in game nine, finishing with 11 runs for 38 yards and a touchdown.

Statistically, Goings is the team leader with 89 carries for 395 yards and two touchdowns, although Damron leads the squad in rushing touchdowns (6). Goings has game records in carries (36 vs. Olivet Nazarene), yards (196 vs. Taylor) and longest run from scrimmage (55 vs. Taylor) while nobody has matched either of Damron's three-touchdown performances (vs. Robert Morris and Iowa Wesleyan).

TAKING TURNS
Junior quarterback Matt King entered the season atop the SHU depth chart, but he's continually gotten healthy competition from freshman Travis Zajkowski. Currently, King has a 119.8 efficiency rating as he has completed 83 of 141 passes for 820 yards, seven touchdowns and three interceptions.

Zajkowski is now 33 of 67 for 406 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions. The freshman has a 109.0 efficiency rating.

Both quarterbacks have run for touchdowns, but in the rushing department, King has outgained Zajkowski, 121-6.

LEADING THE PACK
Sophomore tight end Donovan Campbell has set himself apart as the Saints' top receiving threat. Through nine games, he has 34 receptions for 421 yards and five touchdowns.
