ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Siena Heights women's lacrosse team suffered an 8-6 loss to Bethel (Ind.) in the opening round of the WHAC Tournament on Tuesday at O'Laughlin Stadium.
Jenna Allie had two goals and two draw controls while Megan Gibbs totaled one goal, one assist, seven draw controls and four groundballs.
Maitland Fuentes added a goal and an assist. Abbey Scott and Ave Pieron also had goals. Grace Holland made an assist.
On the defensive side, Audrey Scott totaled five GBs and goalie Brooke Burchfield stopped eight shots.
Siena Heights jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the opening quarter before the Pilots rallied.
Bethel took the lead for good with a 6-0 run, which began in the first and ended in the third.
The Saints closed within 6-5 and 7-6 after that, but was unable to register the game-tying goal.
