Siena Heights junior women's lacrosse player Marissa Cirino was named the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) women's lacrosse offensive player of the week for the second week in a row by the league office on Monday afternoon.
Cirino had 10 goals, 6 assists, 14 shots, 13 shots on goal, and five ground balls last week combined in the games against Concordia (Mich.) and Lourdes. She averaged 5 goals per game, 3 assists per game, 7 shots per game, 6.5 shots on goal per game, and 2.5 groundballs per game. Marissa ranks 2nd in Goals/Game (5.000), 5th in Pts/Game (6.600), 12th in SOG/Game (6.200), 17th in Total Goals (25), 19th in Shots/Game (7.400), 25th in Assists/Game (1.600), 29th in Total Shots on Goal (31), 33rd in Total Assists (8), and 34th in Total Shots (37).
This is Cirino's third WHAC player of the week award of her collegiate career and the team's second honor of the season.
Cirino will lead the Saints against Bethel (Ind.) tomorrow, March 30th for a WHAC matchup that beings at 5:00 PM.
