ADRIAN, Mich. -- Lauren DeWolf scored a career-high 27 points and Jam Thigpen registered a double-double with career-highs of 18 points and 21 rebounds as the Siena Heights women's basketball team earned a 75-56 win over WHAC opponent Defiance on Monday at the SHU Fieldhouse.

DeWolf (1-0, 1-0) also had six rebounds for the Saints, who never trailed after taking a 21-12 lead through one quarter. DeWolf led the way in that opening period with 15 points.

Kanyla Tyler hauled down eight rebounds and E'moni Finch dished seven assists.

Siena Heights' largest lead was 67-40 late in the third quarter.

The Saints will return to action Saturday with a 3 p.m. non-conference home game against Olivet Nazarene.
