MOUNT VERNON, Ohio -- The Siena Heights men's soccer team suffered its first loss of the season, dropping a 2-0 decision to Mount Vernon Nazarene (Ohio) on Saturday at MVNU's own First-Knox Cougar Invitational.
Marc Cannon and Jared Milhoan scored in the fifth and 36th minutes, respectively, for the host Cougars.
SHU goalkeeper Lucas Sagaert stopped two shots while his counterpart, Ryan Swartzentruber, made one save in net for Mount Vernon.
The Saints (2-1-1) will return to action on Wednesday with a 7 p.m. non-conference match at Saint Francis (Ind.).
