MOUNT VERNON, Ohio -- Ricardo Pinheiro scored an unassisted goal in the 101st minute to lift the Siena Heights men's soccer team over Georgetown (Ky.), in double-overtime, 2-1 on Friday during the First-Knox Cougar Invitational at Mount Vernon Nazarene.
Collin McLaughlin opened the game's scoring for SHU, finding the net in the 17th minute with an assist from Alex Chwalibog.
Georgetown came back with an equalizer in the 29th when John Cothran scored with assistance from Blaine Alexander.
The teams were evenly matched in the shot department in the first half -- Georgetown with the 9-8 edge -- before the Saints turned up the heat in the second half with a 9-3 advantage.
Winning goalkeeper Lucas Sagaert finished with one save while Georgetown goalie Matthew Oster stopped six shots.
The Saints (2-0-1) will return to action on Saturday with a 4 p.m. matchup against host Mount Vernon Nazarene.
