Ayana (Nash) Johnston anchored the Siena Heights women’s soccer defense from 1992-95. A four-year starter, she earned NAIA 2nd-Team All-America honors as a sophomore in 1993 and was an honorable mention All-American in both 1992 and 1995. During her career, the Saints qualified for four NAIA regional championships and won three Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference titles.
The top defensive player during her Saints’ career, Johnston is still recognized as one of the best defenders ever to wear a Siena Heights soccer jersey. Ayana graduated from Siena Heights University in 1995 with a degree in accounting.
