The following was printed on Sara Schiably's Hall of Fame Plaque:
Sara Schiably was the trailblazer for Siena Heights’ tradition of elite throwers, earning three NAIA All-American honors. She finished fourth in the hammer throw at the 1998 NAIA Outdoor National Championships and followed with a fifth-place finish in the weight throw at the 1997–98 NAIA Indoor Championships. Her first All-American honor came with an eighth-place finish in the hammer throw at the 1997 NAIA Outdoor Championships.
Schiably qualified for seven additional NAIA National Championship events and helped lead the Saints to two top-10 team finishes. She captured four WHAC titles during her career and laid the foundation for future success in the throws program. She was a member of the Hall of Fame 1995–96 Women’s Track & Field team.
