A trio of Siena Heights women's cross country runners were recognized as Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes, as announced by the NAIA on Monday.
The honorees include seniors Arika Knannlein and Mariah Ridal and junior Elaine Johnson.
In order to be nominated for the award, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status. A total of 340 women were recognized.
