SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Elaine Johnson placed 18th individually as the Siena Heights women's cross country team placed 12th in the Non-Division I race of the National Catholic Invitational at Notre Dame on Saturday. A total of 195 runners from 25 teams competed.
Johnson clocked in at 19:12.59 to led the Saints. Lindsay Larsen was 53rd in 19:55.41 and Lucia Alfaro took 69th with a 20:17.83.
Also scoring for SHU, Mariah Ridal was 83rd with a 20:32.28 and Kristin Stobinski placed 93rd with a 20:45.19.
The Saints finished with 302 team points. Team champion Seton Hill (Pa.) won with 74 points while Emily Frith of Bellarmine (Ky.) won the individual race with a 17:36.19.
The Saints will return to action on Saturday, Oct. 3, at the Lansing Invitational.
