Inaugural Women’s Wrestling Team Signs Top 10-Ranked Recruit, Adds Two Others

ADRIAN, Mich.  The first women's wrestling team in school history continues to take shape midway through March as the Saints signed another nationally-ranked recruit and added two others.

Head Coach Dominic Adams announced the addition of Bo Geibe of Constantine High School in Michigan. Geibe ranked No. 10 at 164 pounds in the most recent USA Wrestling rankings, won a state championship in 2019, was runner-up in 2020, and finished in third place in 2022.

She plans to pursue a degree in education.

The Saints also signed Chelsea Horsley of Bellefontaine High School in Ohio.

Horsley won a state championship in 2020 and was runner-up in 2022 and 2021, respectively. She was coached by Brady Hiatt.

Horsley also will pursue a degree in education.

Shayra Calderon was another recent SHU signee. Calderon is from Northwest High School in Tennessee and was coached by Doug Badon.

Calderon aims to pursue a degree in criminal justice.

"Each person we add to this first team in Siena Heights history is here because their individual talents and character align with the vision and values of our program," Adams said. "I cannot wait for Bo, Chelsea, and Shayra to get to campus because they will elevate everyone around them."

The Saints will take the mat for the first time during the 2022-23 school year. To date, the Saints have signed 11 wrestlers for next season — and are not showing any signs of slowing down.

Any ladies interested in being a part of the first team in school history or learning more about the women's wrestling program are encouraged to fill out the recruit form here.
