OLIVET, Mich. -- The Siena Heights women's volleyball team nearly pulled off a reverse-sweep, ultimately falling in five sets to non-conference opponent Olivet on Friday. Set scores in favor of the Comets were 25-17, 25-21, 21-25, 13-25, 15-7.
Kate Noe had 13 kills and 12 digs while Bianca Hobson and Devyne Eisenhauer scored 11 kills each. Hobson added four total blocks and Eisenhauer made 10 digs.
In the assists department, Courtney Johnson had 23 and Mallory Johnson totaled 14. Both Johnsons had 10 digs. Mallory Johnson was in on four blocks.
Jessica Holsapple and Ella Swoish made 30 and 22 digs, respectively. Kadie Morse totaled six blocks.
Trailing 2-0 through two sets, SHU bounced back with third- and fourth-set wins.
Down 7-3 in the third, the Saints went on a seven-point run and led the rest of the set.
SHU dominated the fourth after falling behind 5-2. It took the lead with six straight points -- part of a 23-8 finish in the set.
The host Comets (2-6) regained momentum in the fifth at the 4-3 point. Olivet outscored 11-4 after that.
Siena Heights (4-6) will return to action on Wednesday with a 7 p.m. WHAC contest at Northwestern Ohio.
