Siena Heights sophomore setter Aubrey Bates was voted the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) women's volleyball setter of the week on Monday when the league office announced the weekly award winners.

The Grand Haven, Michigan native, had a great week of play as she helped lead the Saints to a 2-0 record in conference play. She totaled 83 assists in two matches and was well over her season average in assists per set with 11.86. Her performance gives 974 assists in her career, making her just 26 assists short of hitting the 1,000 career-assists milestone in just her second season.

Bates received the setter of the week award for the second time in her career (both awards were earned this season). In addition, the SHU women's volleyball team has accumulated four WHAC player of the week awards so far this season.

The Saints host Rochester in a WHAC match this coming Wednesday, September 29, at 7:00 p.m.
