GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- The Siena Heights women's volleyball lost in three sets to league-leading Cornerstone on Friday night in Mol Arena. Aubrey Bates led the Saints on both sides of the ball with 25 assists and 10 digs for a double-double.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Golden Eagles built a 20-7 lead in the first set on the way to the 25-11 result that had the score jump to 1-0 in favor of the home team.
Siena kept things tighter in the second set as the scoring margin remained only a couple of points wide. The Saints had an opportunity to earn the win when they cut the deficit to one point, 23-22, but Cornerstone earned the final two points needed to take the 2-0 advantage.
The Saints used a 5-0 run in the third to take an 18-13 lead. Cornerstone rallied back to knot things up at 24 points before closing out the set with two-straight points for the win.
TOP SAINTS
• Samantha Getson and Janel Ruhlman led the attack with eight kills each.
• Sam Huddleston contributed on defense with nine digs.
THE OPPOSITION
• Bailey Cummings led the Golden Eagles with 13 kills.
• Kayla Clark earned a double-double with 31 assists and 10 digs.
