LIMA, Ohio -- The Siena Heights women's volleyball team defeated UNOH in straight sets on the road to improve to 6-3 on the season. Katelyn Ferris finished the day with a team-high six kills (.462) and a match-high seven blocks in the winning effort.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Saints jumped out to a quick 6-2 lead in the first. UNOH rallied back with a 5-0 run to knot things up at 10 points each. The Racers used a 3-0 run to take a 13-12 lead. The score was tied four additional times, the final time was at 18 points. A 5-0 run by the Saints ended game one with a 25-19 final for the 1-0 lead.
Siena scored the first three points of the second set before building a 9-3 advantage. UNOH cut the deficit to three points but a huge 6-0 run by the Saints put things at 24-14 before they closed out the set with a 25-17 decision and a 2-0 lead.
The Racers built an 11-5 lead in the third but SHU rattled off five-straight points to even things up at 12. The teams traded points up to a 21-21 deadlock, but the Saints shut the door with a 4-0 run to end the set and win the match.
TOP SAINTS
• Ferris had the hot hand for the Saints as her .462 hitting percentage was a career-high for her. The seven blocks on her stat line tied a career-high that she set in the previous game with UNOH in Adrian.
• Aubrey Bates paced the SHU attack with 22 assists. She added four kills, two service aces, three digs, and three blocks.
• Samantha Getson recorded eight kills and a match-high four service aces.
• Payton Osborne led defensively with 10 digs.
THE OPPOSITION
• Aaliyah Alexis led the Racers with seven kills.
• Hanna Miller tallied 22 assists and Amber Cottrill finished with 12 digs.
