Third Time Not a Charm for Women's Volleyball Against #16 Madonna

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- For the third time this season, the seventh-seed Siena Heights women's volleyball team dropped a 3-2 decision to two-seed Madonna -- this time occurring in a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Tournament quarterfinal on Friday at Davenport.

Halie Baker finished with 18 kills and Carly Tillotson accumulated 52 assists and 10 digs for the Saints, who lost by scores of 25-25, 25-10, 22-25, 26-24, 15-13.

Leze Vukaj, Emily Abbs and Mycala Cherry added 14, 11 and 11 kills, respectively. Nicole Morgan contributed 20 digs for Siena Heights (18-14).

Kayla Vogel had 14 kills and six total blocks for 16th-ranked Madonna (35-6). Spencer Stokes contributed 52 assists and five total blocks.

Baker's all-time SHU school record for kills will end at 1,271 while Tillotson's record for assists is now at 2,726.
