Siena Heights senior Tyler Fugate was named WHAC Women's Field Player of the Week for Jan. 16-22 after helping improving her NAIA automatic-qualifying mark in the pole vault. Fugate has won the award in back-to-back weeks.

Fugate cleared 3.98 meters in the vault at Indiana Tech's Warrior Invitational on Friday (13 feet, 0 3/4 inches). That season-best mark is highest in the NAIA by 0.08 meters (1 1/4 inches).

Fugate, who finished first among 22 pole vaulters, led a group of five SHU vaulters that recorded auto heights at the meet.
