SOUTHFIELD, Mich. -- The Siena Heights women's soccer team came out victorious 3-2 in their conference opener against WHAC Conference opponent Lawrence Tech on Wednesday. 

Lily Tiplady led the way for SHU with two goals while Rylie Henckel tallied the final goal. Madalyn Freitas recorded the only assist for the Saints on Tiplady's second goal in the 32nd minute. 

In goal, Lily Diamond recorded two saves until Kendall Wise checked in at the 65th minute where Wise recorded one save. 

Lily Tiplady had two first-half goals for the Saints, where they found themselves tied at halftime 2-2. Tiplady's first goal was unassisted in the 22nd minute, while Tiplady's second goal was assisted from Freitas in the 32nd minute to tie the game at 2-2. 

During the second half, Rylie Henckel scored the go-ahead unassisted goal in the 72nd minute to put the Saints up 3-2 as they held onto that lead for good.   

The Saints will return to action on Saturday, Sept. 21, with a 4 p.m. EDT game at home vs Michigan-Dearborn.
