Women's Soccer's Remar Named Academic All-America Second Team

Siena Heights senior women's soccer player Isabel Remar was selected to the 2022 NAIA Academic All-America Second Team as announced by College Sports Communicators on Dec. 6.

Remar, a midfielder with a 4.0 GPA, is the third player in women's soccer history to be named to the Academic All-America Team. The other two were Hannah Ulrich (2012 Third Team) and Taylor Mulder (2018 First Team).

Remar earned her way onto the AAA ballot, along with five teammates, after she was named to the CSC Academic All-District team. Remar has also been recognized within the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference with back-to-back selections to the Academic All-WHAC Team.

"Isabel Remar has stood out from the moment she stepped on campus," Saints women's soccer coach Scott Oliver said. "Her intellect, drive and passion aare mainstays in her day-to-day life. I am very proud of the success she has maintained over her collegiate career in both the classroom and on the field. She has always been a terrific role model for our program."

On the pitch, Remar finished with six goals and three assists as the Saints finished with an 11-5-4 record after advancing to the WHAC Tournament semifinals.
