Women’s Golf Chosen Sixth in WHAC Preseason Poll

The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) announced the 2021-22 WHAC Women's Golf Preseason Coaches Poll over the weekend. The Siena Heights women's golf team was chosen to finish one spot back from their 2021 tournament finish in sixth.

The SHU women's golf team will be led by senior Chelsea Kovoch and juniors Lindsey Darby and Bethany Nowak.

The preseason poll is voted on by the coaches in the league who rank each team in the WHAC from 1-12. Twelve points are given to the team at the top of the list, 11 points to the second-ranked team, and so on to determine the order of the poll.

The 2021 WHAC Champions UNOH gathered 11 first-place votes to total 142 points to claim the top spot on the poll. Indiana Tech finished second with 117 points. Aquinas leaped into third after receiving the final first-place vote to accumulate 115 points. Madonna had 110 for fourth. Lawrence Tech was fifth with 97 while Siena Heights fell to sixth with 84. Cleary was seventh with 70 points and Lourdes compiled 59 points for eighth. Cornerstone was ninth with 52 points. UM-Dearborn (37 points), Rochester (29), and Concordia (24) finished the poll.
