Women's Golf's Richards Repeats on WHAC First Team, Gossett Three-Time Honorable Mention

Siena Heights sophomore women's golfer Andrea Richards was named to the All-Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference First Team while senior teammate Sydney Gossett received an All-WHAC Honorable Mention, as announced by the league on Saturday. Ashlyn Samples, a senior, was selected to the WHAC Champions of Character Team.

Richards, who is now a two-time All-WHAC First Team honoree, was one of the Top 6 performers in WHAC jamboree play, compiling a five-round total of 408 (81.6 average). Her top two rounds were 79s, which occurred during the second and fifth jamborees at Stonewater Country Club in Kentwood and at Lenawee Country Club in Adrian, respectively.

Gossett was among the Top 12 herself with a five-round score of 416 (83.2 average). She is now a three-time All-WHAC Honorable Mention. She was previously recognized as a sophomore and junior. Her best round was a 79 at the third jamboree, which took place at Coyote Creek Golf Club in Fort Wayne, Ind.
