FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- Syd Gossett placed third individually and carded a school-record 73 during round one as the Siena Heights women's golf team took fourth among eight teams at Brookwood Golf Course over the weekend.
Gossett finished with a two-day total of 154 (73-81) to lead the Saints, who as a team, set a new SHU single-round record on Friday. Siena Heights' total score was 643 (313-330).
Andrea Richards tied for 10th over the two-day tournament. She had a 161 (84-77) on the 5,843-yard, par-72 course.
Ashley Everett was 12th with a 162 (75-87), Lizzie Higgins tied for 18th with a 170 (85-85) and Alyssa Fausneaucht tied for 20th with a 171 (81-90).
Indiana Tech won the team title with a two-day 617 (309-308) and was led by the top two finishers, Courtney Dye and Wiebke Schlender, who carded 150s.
