SYLVANIA, Ohio -- Sydney Gossett placed fifth individually and Ashley Everett tied for sixth as the Siena Heights women's golf team ended up third after day one of the fourth Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Jamboree. WHAC Jamboree #4A took place at the 6,078-yard, par-72 layout at Sylvania Country Club.
Gossett carded an 84 and Everett had an 85 as the Saints scored a 356 and held onto third place in the WHAC regular season standings.
Also scoring for the Saints, Andrea Richards shot a 93 and Alyssa Fausneaucht finished with a 94.
Indiana Tech and Madonna were the top teams on Friday as both scored 338. Madonna's Natalie Blazo and Tech's Wiebke Schlender tied for the low round of 77.
In the WHAC standings, Indiana Tech leads the way with a score of 1,304 and is followed, in order, by Madonna (1,320), Siena Heights (1,361), Aquinas (1,373), Lourdes (1,414), Davenport (1,415), Northwestern Ohio (1,531), Cornerstone (1,662) and Concordia (inc.).
The WHAC regular season will wrap up on Saturday as UNOH will host the teams at Jamboree #4B in Lima, Ohio.
