ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The seventh-seeded Siena Heights women's bowling team split its team matches at the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Championships on Saturday, finishing with a 2-2 record which included a first-round upset of second-seed Northwestern Ohio.

The Saints opened tournament play with a four-game win against UNOH. Siena Heights won the first two games, 145-144 and 188-150, before the Racers answered with a 231-141 win in game three. SHU then ended the match in the fourth, 188-173.

Siena Heights was then dropped to the losers' bracket by six-seed Lawrence Tech. SHU won took a 1-0 game lead, 174-165, before the Blue Devils rattled off wins in games two and three, 169-165, 157-120. After a 187-161 Saint victory in game four, LTU won the deciding game, 223-198.

The Saints won their first elimination match in the losers' bracket, taking down fifth-seed Indiana Tech in four. SHU won the first game, 189-188, and Indiana Tech took the second, 200-158, before the Saints finished the match with two game wins, 184-180 and 189-181.

SHU's tournament run came to an end during a rematch against UNOH. The Racers swept the teams' second matchup, 191-141, 200-142, 182-136.

Concordia defeated Lawrence Tech in the WHAC Tournament final.
