MUSKEGON, Mich. -- Allison Caswell was the individual women's champion, leading a trio of Saints on the all-tournament team, as the Siena Heights women's bowling team claimed its first-ever USBC-sanctioned tournament championship while winning the Great Lakes Classic at Northway Lanes on Friday.
Caswell had a four-game series of 809 (202.25 average) after bowling games of 236-170-202-201. She was followed by runner-up Tiffany Logan, who had a 789 series (197.25 average), and sixth-place finisher Tiffany Paraventi, who tossed a 743 series (185.75 average). All three were selected to the all-tournament squad.
Logan's best games were 189-203-233 while Paraventi had games of 206-214.
Katarina Coulson added a 701 series (175.25 average), including games of 191-185, to place 12th. Myriah Hamilton was 14th with a 698 series (174.5 average) and high game of 196 while Amanda Barry took 15th with a 690 (172.5 average) and games of 190-182.
The Saints scored 6,846 points to finish atop the six-team, 42-bowler standings. They were followed, in order, by Aquinas (6,748), Rochester (5,758), Schoolcraft (5,157), Muskegon Community College (5,125) and Kirtland Community College (4,582).
