The Siena Heights women's basketball team will play for the NAIA Women's Basketball National Championship after receiving the program's sixth-ever bid to the Opening Round Thursday night.

SHU will head to Rio Grande (Ohio) for a Tuesday night game at 6 p.m. Rio Grande will also host an Opening Round matchup between Grace (Ind.) and Pikeland (Ky.) at 8.  Winners of Tuesday's games meet Wednesday at 7.

The NAIA National Championship Opening Round divides the 64-team field into 16 four-team pods. The surviving 16 will advance to the final site in Sioux City, Iowa.
