UPCOMING FOR SHU: The Saints return to action after the Christmas Holiday with their SHU Holiday Tournament with games on the 28th and 30th.

HEAD COACH:  Sue Syljebeck is in her 19th season as the head coach of the Saints women's basketball program. She is the program's winningest coach with a career record of 345-224. Syljebeck currently ranks tied for 22nd on the NAIA Women's basketball active coach wins list. She will be assisted this year by Deb Ray, Sara Chrenko, Niesha Lowe, Mo Rammuny, Dan Brooks and Tee Watters.

INDIANA EAST:  This will be the first ever matchup between the Saints and the Red Wolves.  The Red Wolves compete in the River States Athletic Conference and are in their 9th season in their program's history.

ST. FRANCIS (ILL.):  This will be the 8th matchup between the Fighting Saints and the Saints.  St. Francis holds a 6-1 advantage over Siena Heights.  The first time the teams played was in the 1984-85 season and the most recent contest was the 2011-12 season.  The lone Siena Heights win came in a matchup during the 1987-88 season with a final score of 73-63.  St. Francis has won the last four matchups.

LAST TIME OUT:  Kayla Hinton recorded a double-double as the Siena Heights women's basketball team used a strong second half to down non-conference opponent Washington Adventist.  Hinton finished with 20 points, 12 assists and three steals for the Saints (10-3), who battled back from a 35-32 halftime deficit. SHU outscored Washington Adventist, 47-33, in the second half.  Brooke Rebman added 16 points. Sha'kyia Parker had 13 points and five assists and now sits 48 points away from the 1,000-career-point plateau. Olivia DeLong was the leading rebounder with eight boards.  Peyton Banks returned to the lineup and scored 11 points. She now has 1,850 career points.

RECORD WATCH:  Peyton Banks broke the SHU career scoring record on November 30th, surpassing Laura Panozzo's previous mark of 1,812.  She now sits 150 points from hitting 2,000 career points, a point that no SHU women's basketball player and only one SHU men's basketball player has reached. Her 883 career rebounds are 216 away from the lead in that category, she moved into 3rd place on the Saints' career record board and is 56 rebounds behind the second place total of 939.

Sha'kyia Parker is 48 points from 1,000 career points at SHU. She would be the 13th women's basketball player at Siena Heights to reach that milestone.  She has now moved into 5th place in SHU history for career 3-point field goals, currently sitting at 161.  She is three 3-point field goals away from 4th place in SHU history.
