The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced the 2023 Softball Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athletes. The Siena Heights Softball Program had ten student-athletes earn this distinction.
In order to be nominated for the NAIA Scholar-Athlete, an individual must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, must appear on the eligibility certificate for the sport, and have attended one full year.
Earning the award for the Saints was:
Courtnee Chappetta (1st time), business administration major from Holland, Ohio
Lauren Dioszegi (1st time), psychology major and Spanish minor from New Boston, Michigan
Taylor Eppard (1st time), biology major from Perrysburg, Ohio
Alexis Hirst (2nd time), senior, history major and business administration major from Clinton Township, Michigan
Julia Hogston (2nd time), senior, communications major and Spanish minor from Dundee, Michigan
Kat Moreau (2nd time), junior, biology major from Montague, Michigan
Brenna Nurenberg (3rd time), senior, applied mathematics and English minor from Alto, Michigan
Lyndsey Pena (3rd time), senior, criminal justice major and psychology minor from Macomb, Michigan
Sam Spicer (3rd time), senior, sport management major from Monroe, Michigan
Shyann Truax (1st time), sophomore, pre-nursing major and psychology minor from Charlotte, Michigan
