The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced the 2021 Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athletes and NAIA Scholar Team awards. The Siena Heights Softball Program had nine student-athletes and their 2020-2021 team earn these distinctions.
In order to be nominated for the NAIA Scholar-Athlete, an individual must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, must appear on the eligibility certificate for the sport, and have attended two full years as a non-transfer or one full year as a transfer.
For a team to be awarded, they must have a minimum 3.0 grade point average on a 4.0 scale for the academic year. The Saints had the fourteenth highest softball team GPA in the NAIA and the top softball team GPA in the WHAC.

Lily Guerra (2nd time), junior, psychology and special education major from Rockford, Michigan
Sam Hill (2nd time), junior, criminal justice major and psychology minor from Willis, Michigan
Janelle Krueger (1st time), junior, nursing major from Ravenna, Michigan
Milah Loose (2nd time), junior, sport management major from Kewadin, Michigan
Brenna Nurenberg (1st time), junior, applied mathematics and secondary math education major and English minor from Alto, Michigan
Lyndsey Pena (1st time), junior, criminal justice major and psychology minor from Macomb, Michigan
Haley Rose (2nd time), senior, criminal justice major from Napoleon, Michigan
Bre Schmidt (1st time), junior, nursing major from Clarkston, Michigan
Sam Spicer (1st time), junior, sport management major from Monroe, Michigan
The Saints team was honored with their 13th NAIA Scholar Team Award and 12th straight honor with a 3.61 team GPA. The award has been an honor for 14 years.
