A total of five Siena Heights softball players were recognized as Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes, as announced by the NAIA recently.
All five honorees are seniors: Jessie Arnold, Mariah Boss, Morgan Huttenlocker, Bitty Treece and Morgan Warfield.
Treece and Warfield were education majors, Arnold studied English, Boss majored in Social Work and Huttenlocker was a sports management major.
In order to be nominated for the award, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status. A total of 402 women were recognized.
