BOWLING GREEN, Kentucky – The Siena Heights women's wrestling team will compete in its first Mid-South Conference Championship on Friday, Feb. 24.  

Eight Saints will compete in the tournament with a shot to qualify for the first-ever NAIA Women's Wrestling National Championship on March 10-11 in Jamestown, N.D.  

Below are short bios on each of the Saints' competitors: 

No. 16 Valeria Ahumada: 

Ahumada is 28-13 on the season at 109 pounds and finished second at the Warrior Open and NUWAY Open and was third at the Pointer Open.   

Bailey Jones: 

Jones is 7-25 on the season for the Saints at 116 pounds.  

Mallory Chunat: 

Chunat finished the regular season at 25-13. She was ranked in the Top 20 in four different polls throughout the season. She took third place at the NUWAY Open and was fifth at the Warrior Open. Chunat will wrestle 138 pounds at the MSC tournament.  

No. 18 Phoenix Waters: 

Waters is 28-18 for the Saints at 136 pounds and has been in the Top 20 rankings for the last two polls. She finished fifth at the Albion Invitational, was fourth at the NUWAY Open and took seventh at the Warrior Open.  

Zoë Hussar:  

Hussar is 16-12 on the season at 155 pounds. She was sixth at the Pointer Open, was fourth at the Albion Invitational, and was third at the NUWAY Open. 

Maggie Mann: 

Mann is 8-13 on the year at 143 and 155 pounds. She will compete at 155 pounds on Friday. Mann finished in fifth place at the Albion Invitational this season.  

No. 6 Bo Geibe: 

Geibe is 36-10 on the year at 170 pounds and is coming off of a pair of wins against No. 7 Annabelle Helm and No. 6 Jewel Gonzalez from Gannon during the same dual. Geibe finished second at the Warrior Open and NUWAY Open, was third at the Albion Invitational, and was fifth at the Adrian Invite and Pointer Open.   

Shayra Calderon: 

In her only action of the season on Feb. 7, Calderon got a pin against Adrian College's NCAA national qualifier Sienna Lejueune. Calderon will wrestle 191 pounds.  

Wrestlers who win MSC titles automatically qualify for the National Championship. There also are automatic qualifiers depending on the number of nationally ranked wrestlers at each weight class and there are additional national wild card bids available.  

National tournament qualifiers will be finalized after the Mid-South Conference tournament and national wildcard slots are awarded.
