ADRIAN, Mich. -- Zak Tucker became just the second Siena Heights men's volleyball player with 3,000 career assists as the Saints defeated Aquinas, 3-0, on Saturday at the SHU Fieldhouse. Set scores were 25-12, 25-15, 25-18.
Tucker totaled 34 assists against Aquinas and now has 3,015 as a Saint, which ranked second all-time in SHU men's volleyball history. Tucker also had four blocks and two aces Saturday.
Daniel Rua had 13 kills and Jonathan Stovring finished with 12 kills and a .786 hit percentage. Andrew Sliwinski added five blocks.
Siena Heights opened the match with a 7-1 run and cruised through the first set.
The second set featured 17 ties, including a knot at 25-25, before SHU scratched out the set win.
The Saints finished the third on a 6-1 run.
Siena Heights will play next when it visits Lourdes for a 7 p.m. WHAC Tournament match on Tuesday.
