KANSAS CITY -- Siena Heights freshman setter Zak Tucker was named the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) men's volleyball setter of the week by the national office on Tuesday afternoon.
Tucker hit 50 assists in a single match for the first time of his career in the 3-1 win over Goshen on Saturday. His 12.71 assists per set this past week eclipsed his season mark of 10.13, ranking second in the WHAC.
This is the first National Player of the week award in Tucker's career and the first one for the SHU men's volleyball program this season.
Tucker leads the Saints back onto the court this evening against Thomas More inside the SHU Fieldhouse at 6:00 p.m.
