Zak Tucker Named WHAC Setter of the Week After Fantastic Debut Weekend

ADRIAN, Mich. -- Siena Heights freshman setter Zak Tucker was named the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) setter of the week this afternoon when the league office announced the weekly award winners.

Tucker had a fantastic debut weekend for the Saints. He totaled 139 assists through the opening four matches of the season as the Saints finished 4-0 at the MMVI Tournament held inside Mol Arena in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The Chesapeake, Va. native completed his first appearances in collegiate competition with an NAIA-leading 9.93 assists per set while also playing strong at the net with 17 blocks along with 17 digs.

This is the first WHAC weekly award of Tucker's career and the first for the SHU men's volleyball team this season.

Tucker will lead the Saints in the team's home-opening match this Saturday when Indiana Tech comes to town for the first WHAC match of the season for both teams at 7:30 p.m.
