Siena Heights men's volleyball senior Emilier De Jesus (Chesterton, Ind.) was tabbed the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) men's volleyball defensive player of the week as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon. 

De Jesus led the Saints in digs in every match this week. He averaged 4.75 digs per set and maintained his number one ranking in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) in digs per game. His 57 digs in the three matches for the week also helped move him to the top spot in the country in total digs with 270.

This is the second WHAC weekly award of De Jesus's collegiate career and the first for him so far in the 2020 campaign.

The Saints return to action this Friday, March 6 when they travel to the Windy City to face 9th-ranked Saint Xavier (Ill.) at 8:00 p.m., EST.
