MARION, Ind. -- Holden Van Poppel placed seventh in the decathlon and was named All-American during Thursday's day-two action at the NAIA Outdoor Track and Field Championships, which are taking place at Indiana Wesleyan.
Van Poppel totaled 6,480 points. He had the quickest 100-meter-hurdles time in 14.91 seconds.
Van Poppel was also third in the pole vault with a height of 14 feet, 3 1/4 inches (4.35m). He was fourth in the discus with a 115-0 (35.05m) and ninth in the javelin (146-7, 44.68m).
