MARION, Ind. -- Matthew Gipple placed fourth in the long jump as the Siena Heights men's track and field team began competition on Thursday at the NAIA Outdoor Championships at Indiana Wesleyan.

Gipple cleared 7.52 meters, earning his way to the podium and All-American honors.
