JOLIET, Ill., and ALLENDALE, Mich. -- Matthew Gipple won the long jump with an NAIA auto height at Saint Francis (Ill.) and Jordan Harris hit a provisional mark while placing runner-up in the shot put at Grand Valley as the Siena Heights men's outdoor track and field team competed at two meets over a two-day period.
Gipple had a winning jump of 7.35 meters (24 feet, 1 1/2 inches) at the Fighting Chance Invitational, hosted by Saint Francis (Ill.).
Harris' provo occurred at the GVSU Last Chance Meet. His distance was 15.69m (51-5 3/4).
Javelin thrower Jonah Siekman also competed at Grand Valley, placing fourth with a 46.80m (153-6).
