HILLSDALE, Mich. -- Pole vaulter Alan Alston hit a provisional mark while placing fourth at Hillsdale's Last Chance Meet on Wednesday.

Alston cleared 4.71 meters (15 feet, 5 1/2 inches).

Matthew Gipple also had a Top 5 placement, taking runner-up in the long jump with a 7.39m (24-3).
