EAST CHICAGO, Ind. -- The Siena Heights men's soccer team dropped a 2-0 decision to Calumet Saint Joseph (Ind.) in CCSJ's Crimson Wave Invitational consolation game on Sunday.
The Wave opened the scoring just 18 seconds into the game on a goal by Nick Barango. The hosts led the rest of the way.
Emmanuel Awuku put in an insurance goal for Calumet in the 70th minute, getting an assist from Stewart Thur.
Siena Heights outshot the Crimson Save, 14-10, and held a 7-2 shot advantage. Saints' goalkeeper Brandon Gonzalez had four saves.
In net for CCSJ, Johnathan Brenner stopped six shots.
Siena Heights senior midfielder Bryce DeLamielleure was named to the all-tournament team.
SHU (0-3) will be in action next when it hosts a non-conference match against Bethel (Ind.) on Wednesday. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
