GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- Collin McLaughlin scored the lone Siena Heights goal as the Saints' men's soccer team dropped a 3-1 contest at Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference opponent Aquinas on Saturday.
McLaughlin's goal forged a 1-1 tie in the 52nd minute -- just 1:10 after Jonathan Spencer put Aquinas ahead in the 50th. Bryce DeLamielleure assisted McLaughlin's tally.
Aldony Mendez put the hosts ahead for good in the 58th minute and then Tucker Hogarth put in an insurance goal during the 87th.
SHU goalkeeper Brandon Gonzalez stopped five shots while Aquinas' Craig Demshuk stopped three shots.
Siena Heights (7-8-2, 3-5-1) will be in action next on Saturday, Nov. 2, with a WHAC regular-season finale matchup at Northwestern Ohio, beginning at 3 p.m.
