The Siena Heights men's lacrosse team was selected to finish fifth in the 2021 Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic-Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll that was released by the league office this afternoon. The Saints were only able to get two games in during the 2020 season that was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The preseason poll is voted on by the coaches in the league who rank the teams in the league from 1-9. 9 points are given to the team at the top of the list, 8 points to the second-ranked team, and so on to determine the order of the poll.
Indiana Tech tops the chart after receiving five of the nine first-place votes to total 77 points. Lawrence Tech was six points off the lead at 71 and registered three first-place points for second place. Aquinas was third gaining one first-place vote and finishing with 66 points. Madonna claimed fourth with 54 points and the Saints were fifth with 41. Lourdes checked in with 36 points for sixth place while Concordia (Mich.) was seventh with 27.
