KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Siena Heights men's lacrosse team was ranked No. 5 in the NAIA in the Coaches' Top 10 Preseason Poll for the 2017 season, as announced by the governing body recently.
The Saints ended the 2016 season with a 12-5 record overall after competing in the WHAC Championship game, NAIA Invitational Tournament semi-finals, MCLA Div. II Tournament and the CCLA Tournament semi-finals.
For the 2017 season, Siena Heights will compete solely in the NAIA and in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference. Other conference teams include No. 2 Lourdes (Ohio), No. 7 Indiana Tech, Aquinas, Lawrence Tech, Concordia, Madonna and Michigan-Dearborn.
SHU will compete in their first contest on Sunday, February 19, at Central Michigan. Faceoff is set for 3 p.m.
