The 14th-ranked Siena Heights men's lacrosse team will host a Central Collegiate Lacrosse Association Tournament quarterfinal for the first time in its history when Lourdes (Ohio) visits O'Laughlin Stadium for a 7 p.m. faceoff on Saturday.
The Saints (11-1) enter the CCLA Tournament as the No. 2 seed while Lourdes (4-6) is the seven-seed. Siena Heights won their regular-season matchup -- a 16-9 CCLA Central Division final on Apr. 4 at Davenport. The contest also served as a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference third-place game.
Siena Heights has advanced to the CCLA Tournament semifinals in each of the past two seasons. Lourdes qualified for CCLAs in its first season in 2014. Both teams were eliminated by eventual national champ Grand Valley State: Lourdes in the quarterfinals and SHU in the semis.
The CCLA Tournament quarterfinal matchups, with overall records, are as follows:
8-Lawrence Tech (5-5) at 1-Grand Valley State (6-4)
5-Indiana Tech (5-7) at 4-Grove City (8-3)
6-Aquinas (7-5) at 3-Dayton (10-2)
