FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- The Siena Heights men's lacrosse team suffered a 9-5 loss to 10th-ranked Indiana Tech in non-conference action on Tuesday.
Tom Kreitzer and Nick Lyons scored two goals apiece while John Holowaty tallied one goal for the Saints (5-6), who failed to battle back from an early 3-0 deficit.
SHU trailed 6-2 before cutting its deficit to 7-5 on Kreitzer's man-up goal with 8:13 left in the fourth quarter. The host Warriors (7-4) then scored twice during the final 1:11 to seal their victory.
Adam Keay added two assists for Siena Heights and defenders Joshua Abruzzo and Jordan Martin picked up four groundballs each. Goaltender Ryan Mailloux stopped 12 shots.
For Indiana Tech, Josh Puckett scored four goals, Lee Raymond picked up six groundballs, and winning goalie Tony Loftus stopped 11 shots.
The Saints will play their next game on Saturday when they take on Davenport in the WHAC Tournament final, beginning 6 p.m. at Aquinas. The Panthers are rated No. 19 in MCLA Division I.
