Kreitzer, Holowaty Lead Men's Lax Charge Past Ferris State

ADRIAN, Mich. -- Tom Kreitzer and John Holowaty had seven-point nights as the Siena Heights men's lacrosse team claimed a 19-1 victory over Ferris State in non-conference action on Thursday at O'Laughlin Stadium. The Saints have now won four of their last five games.

Kreitzer compiled six goals and one assist while Holowaty finished with four goals and three assists for the Saints (5-5).

Also, Brennen Gohr totaled three goals and one assist, Benjamin Lama tallied two goals and three assists, and Adam Keay contributed two goals and one assist.

The Saints, who scored the game's first 12 goals, also got contributions from Nick Lyons and Blake Mielcarek, who had one goal and one assist each. James Thomas Lauria made two assists and Kyle Kline had one.

Kline was 10 of 11 on faceoffs while Mark Ward went 10 of 13. Kline and Joshua Abruzzo totaled nine and five groundballs, respectively. Abruzzo and Seth McIntosh had three caused turnovers apiece.

In the cage, winning goalie Ryan Mailloux was credited with one save.

Dakota Falzetta scored the only goal for Ferris State (1-5), which is coached by SHU graduate Ryan Gumbleton. Jack Tellier added 12 saves and five groundballs.

SHU will play its next contest on Tuesday at Indiana Tech, beginning at 6 p.m.
